Madonna Music Monday - 01/30/2012

One of Madonna's 1st pop hits is the song Boderline. It's Madonna's 1st ballad. Madonna hardly performs this song in concert. But on her last tour, Sticky & Sweet, Madonna performed a very different version of this song. So here is a rocked-out, loud version of Madonna's great song. Enjoy!!!

Madonna Musica Martes - 01/24.2012

For today's video, I chose a 're-invented' version of a classic Madonna song. On Madonna's debut album, she included a song that hinted at Madonna's rock edge. That song is Burning Up. Over the years, Madonna has perfomed various versions of this song. The video I am sharing today is from Madonna's 2004 Re-Invention World Tour. This is Burning Up at its most 'rocked-out' best. Enjoy!!!

My 1st Disneyland Visit...

After many visits to Walt Disney World in Florida, I knew it was time to make a visit to the original theme park in Anaheim, California. The place where it all began. So over the Labor Day weekend of 2006, I made the trip with my friend Jean, her son and her Mother. It was everyone's first visit. Here is video of us entering Disneyland for the 1st time. Thank You Walt Disney!!!

Trip Report - Walt Disney World - 07/21/11 - Part One

So after much needed sleep, I'm feeling better and my cold is not as bad as before. But I'm still feeling a bit off. Hopefully I can handle today's heat at the parks. Today is our EPCOT day. I love this park for many reasons. It has science exhibits. It has country pavilions. Its the most adult park out of all the parks. Its a park that you can pretty much take your time exploring. Actually, if you do take your time at this park, you might end up missing some cool attractions, which somehow I did. More on this later.

So the first thing we need to do is get Fast-Passes to Soarin' before they run out. We get passes that are good for around 12:30 pm. We then head over to Living with the Sea to ride the Finding Nemo attraction. I love this ride, its so faithful to the film version.

After the attraction, we hang out and check out some of the marine life exhibits. After this, we head to the Imagination Pavilion. As we approach, I see that one of my favorite attraction's is about to open. CAPTAIN EO!! So I decide to educate my nephew on the legacy that is Michael Jackson. I love this attraction because its MICHAEL JACKSON, its a video directed by Francis Ford Coppola and it co-stars Angelica Houston. Plus its such an 80's video, it takes me back in time. I LOVE CAPTAIN EO!!!

After Capt. EO we head over to the Land Pavilion for some breakfast. So we use our Disney Dining Plan at Sunshine Seasons, the food court located in the Land Pavilion. My nephew and I both get the Adult Breakfast Platter which includes eggs, sausage, bacon and a biscuit.

After eating our breakfast, we decide to head into World Showcase to get some sight seeing in and take pics of my nephew at the various country landmarks. Here are a few pics:

It was getting close to noon time. I originally had a lunch reservation set for Via Napoli, the new pizza eatery located in the Italy pavilion. But since we were not really hungry, I cancelled the reservation and we headed towards Soarin'.

On our way to Soarin', we made a quick visit to Club Cool to taste some Coke products from other countries. As you know, any 1st timer that goes to Epcot MUST try the Beverly soda at Club Cool. Here is video of my nephew tasting the Beverly soda:

This is always fun. After Club Cool, it was time to ride Soarin' with our Fast-Passes. I love riding this attraction. You know what else I love about this attraction? I love using Fast-Pass to by-pass the LONG lines for this attraction!!! Just walking in the Fast-Pass lane is a great experience. LOL!! Don't hate me because I know how to properly use the Fast-Pass system to minimize my wait times and maximize my attraction time.

After Soarin', it was time for a mid-day break. All that walking in heat was getting to us. So before we left Epcot, we went and got Fast-Passes for Test Track. This way we can ride Test Track later in the evening when its much cooler.

Back at Pop Century, my nephew wanted to play more arcade games. He loves playing any Mario Bros based game. Here is a pic of  my nephew playing Mario Cart:

After video games, we got a snack and rested in our room watching some Disney TV. We plan to head back to Epcot for dinner, some more fun and shopping. I'll cover all this in my next trip report.

Thanks for reading and have a Magical Day!!!

DCA's World of Color Water Show

As you know, California Adventure has been going thru a lot of changes lately. New themed areas, new attractions, re-designed buildings, a new trolley ride and new dinning options. But one of the first additions to DCA was the World of Color water show that takes place nightly. I was able to see this show shortly after it premiered in 2010. Here is video of that performance, in its entirety, from 10/11/10. Enjoy!

Madonna Music Monday - 01/09/2012

For today's clip, I wanted to share a performance of a song that was Madonna's 1st single. This song was originally released October 6th, 1982. However this live performance is from November 15, 2005. That's 23 years after the song was released. This song is still a great song to dance to. I'm glad Madonna still performs this song in concert. So here is Madonna singing EVERYBODY, released before her debut album MADONNA. Enjoy!

Madonna Music Monday - 01/02/2012

Happy New Year!! Well 2012 is now in full swing. It promises to be an exciting year for Madonna. So for 2012, I thought I would try something different with my Madonna selections. I will try to trace the history of Madonna's career. I will start from 1983 and then go forward in time. From time to time, I will post live performances of certain songs that might not be in chronological. Like my first selection for 2012. Here is one of Madonna's 1st hits, Holiday. This live performance is from Madonna's 2001's Drowned World Tour. Enjoy!!!
