My Top 10 in Music of 2013

So there was a lot great music in 2013. Some singers made comebacks. Some new singers broke-thru. And some singers elevated their music to a whole new level. So in no particular order, these are my favorite songs from 2013. Enjoy!

Daft Punk + Nile Rodgers + Giorgio Moroder = HEAVEN. While everyone else was "Getting Lucky", I was learning about music history by the master himself, Giorgio Moroder. THIS is what music is all about...




This is PURE POP in its simplest form...



I don't know where Serena Ryder has been hiding, but I'm glad I finally found her...this song is AMAZING!!!



This song has been on constant repeat on my player....LOVE, LOVE, LOVE this song...its so dreamy and reminds a lot of the 80s...



This song became popular in 2013...what's with all these Brit girls coming over and taking over our airwaves...I LOVE IT!!!



What can I say...this guy is such a talented ARTIST...his voice is amazing, he's a throwback to old-school soul...and this song has a KILLER guitar riff...



Sometimes you need that one song that you can SCREAM along with...this is that song...



I don't know why Robbie Williams isn't a bigger star in the States...he's an amazing songwriter, an awesome singer and just a great guy...but I do know one thing...Louis Prima is smiling down from Heaven on Robbie because of this song...Thank God for Robbie Williams...



Say what you wanna say about Miley Cyrus...but she delivered TWO amazing songs in 2013...unfortunately, the music got buried under a lot of noise...I'm posting the acoustic version of Wrecking Ball because I really want people to just listen to the lyrics of the song...I think you will find the beautiful song I hear...



Depeche Mode is that rare band that just keeps getting better and better...they put out an amazing album (Delta Machine) and delivered a KILLER concert tour, one of the bests I've seen in years...THIS is Depeche Mode at their best...



Honorable Mentions:

The best Christmas album released this year is by Kelly Clarkson...hands down AMAZING...



What?? Laura Pausini & Kylie Minogue made a duet song...two great international voices in one song...BRILLIANT!!!



I went to New York this summer and saw a magical production of a classic musical...there are not enough words to explain how I felt when I watched PIPPIN on stage...it truly was an amazing night...



And speaking of Broadway, THIS is the reason why Sound of Music LIVE was good...it was because of Laura Benanti...Laura Benanti...LAURA BENANTI...learn her name, listen to her music and WORSHIP HER!!!!



Tegan & Sara...what can I say...they're brilliant...this was their year...



The return of The Thin White Duke...David Bowie F*CKING RULES!!!!

Madonna Music Monday - 12/02/2013

Due to recent events and that yesterday was December 1st, World AIDS Day, I thought I would share a specific Madonna song. In 1993, Madonna was on her fourth world tour promoting her 5th studio album EROTICA. One of the songs from this album is the AIDS themed song, In This Life. Dedicated to two friends who had died from the illness, Madonna performs an emotional tribute with this song. Dedicate to those who we have lost and to those living with AIDS today. Don't Give Up...
