Last night was the 66th Annual Tony Awards. One of the shows nominated was the revival of EVITA, staring Ricky Martin. Back in 1996, one of my life-time dreams came true. Madonna was casted in the big-screen film version of EVITA. For her role, Madonna won a Golden Globe award for Best Actress in a Comedy/Musical film. Also, a new song for the film, You Must Love Me, won an OSCAR for Best Song from a Film. So for today's video, I wanted to share a video from the film version of EVITA. For this song, in the original stage version, the song is sung by a secondary character, a prostitute, that Evita discovers is sleeping with future Argentine President Juan Peron. However, in the film version, the song is now sung by Evita, as an young aspiring actress trying to make a living on her own. The song is beautifully sung by Madonna, clearly showing Madonna's vocal improvement due to voice lessons. So here is Madonna singing Another Suitcase In Another Hallway. Enjoy!!!
