This is actually a baseball cap style hat. This is was one of the 1st Ears I ever bought. They are actually quite comfortable, but not good to wear on a hot sunny Florida day!
These next two Ears are from Disneyland's Golden Anniversary. One for Disneyland, the other for Walt Disney World. My 1st visit to Disneyland was during this celebration. I know what your saying. What took you so long???
The next set comes from Disney's Year of a Million Dreams promotion. While I was at Disneyland, I was lucky to win Dream Fast Passes. TWICE!!! The Ears light up with a switch in the back. They make a nice effect.
These ears also come from the Year of a Million Dreams celebration. If you look closely, you can see LED lights surrounding the Castle. When turned on, the lights makes a pixie-dust type effect. I think I need to replace the batteries. Or maybe the Ears have lost their Magic! LOL!
These next Ears came from the DVC Store that opened in near-by Schaumburg. They were given out on opening day.
These Ears I got for St. Patrick's Day 2006. A friend of mine sent me these Ears from Walt Disney World. I have not seen these Ears in the following years, but I could be wrong.
Now this is one of my favorite Ears. As you can tell, they are themed after the classic attraction, The Haunted Mansion. This is my favorite attraction. The Disneyland attraction opened the year I was born, 1969. I especially like the ghost images on the ears.
These ears I got last year for Disneyland's 55th Anniversary. I love how colorful these Ears are. But I especially love how it has Pinocchio on the one ear. Pinocchio is one of my favorite films.
These next Ears I bought at the Disney Outlet Store near Disneyland. As you can see, they show Mickey Mouse over the years. They are very cute and they only cost a couple bucks. Of course I had to have them in my collection.
Recently, Disney started a new 'create your own' line of Mickey Ears. You pick the ears, hat, patches and other items to make your own personalized Ears. I just wanted to make a fun set of Ears that I could where anywhere. I think they came out very nice.
Every once in awhile I like to dress up like a Pirate. Don't ask why, I just do. So if I'm going to dress like a Pirate, then I need Pirate Mickey Ears. I found these two years ago while attending Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party. I love wearing these Ears. I wear them for Halloween, Mardi Gras and of course while riding the Pirates of the Caribbean attraction. I LOVE THEM!!!
These are pretty simple ears. It just says Disneyland Resort in gold on black. What I like about these ears is that there is a small gold embroidered Mickey on the back. Simple and classic.
Last but not least, these are my classic Mickey Ears from Disneyland. As a kid watching the Mickey Mouse Club, seeing the Mouseketeers with their Mickey Ears, I always wanted my own set of Ears. Well it might have taken almost 40 years, but I finally did get my Mickey Ears. And yes, they have my name on the back. This summer I plan to get a Disney World version of the Ears. Unless I see something else I like. There's always something else I like. Thanks for letting me share my collection. Enjoy!
